Fancy ShorTbreads

A famous treat with a French twist

Learn how to bake delicious shortbreads, with no pain.

 

We will start by sweet and savoury shortbreads with flavours from my childhood memory: the south of France, la Provence.

Then you will make your own flavours.

Premium French butter, caster sugar, plain flour, rice flour, lavender, lemon, thyme, pepper, Comté cheese.

Whisky babas

The classic rum baba with a Scottish twist

Learn how to make a baba dough with a delicat whisky flavoured syrup. We’ll also make a vanilla whipped cream.

 

Main ingredients :

Strong white flour, yeast, milk, eggs, premium French butter, sugar, yeast, whisky, vanilla, orange, lemon.

Carrot Cake

The best British cake ever in a soft but textured version

Learn how to sublime the classic carrot cake with carefully chosen French & British ingredients.

 

Main ingredients :

Eggs, light soft brown sugar, strong white flour, cream, corn flour, vanilla, ginger, carrots, pecan nuts, cream cheese, premium French butter.

gin&tonic macarons

The famous french treat, with a Scottish twist

Learn how to make beautiful maracons from scratch.

 

I will show you all the techniques and tips you need to know to make perfectly shaped macarons.

Eggs, caster sugar, almond powder, icing sugar, Pickering's gin, lime, premium French butter.

Frangipane tart

The perfect frangipane with a lemon twist.

Learn how to make a sweet shortcrust pastry, a frangipane filling and a lemon pie, 3 in 1 beautiful British tart.

What we’ll do

 

You could learn to bake Gin&Tonic Parisians macarons, Whisky Babas, Fancy Shortbreads, Bakewell Tart or Carrot Cake.

 

You won't find already-made custard or praline paste, we'll make everything from scratch for our pastries. I will teach your how to succeed in every step of the recipe, so don't worry about your cooking level, I'll make sure you don't get lost and you enjoy it. 

 

While our pastries are baking, you'll enjoy a cup of tea from my favourite tea shop in Edinburgh, or a Gin&Tonic from my favourite Gin distillery. 

 

Finally, you'll take home your pastries. I'll let you take a picture of the recipes so you can enjoy making them for your friends and family.

If you think cuisine is complicated, a real pain in ass, I hope you'll change your mind with this experience. Feel free to ask all the questions you want during the experience.
